Our Commercial Business Services team is a key component of our organization, focused on sales enablement and comprised of several specialized departments. These departments include: Market Access & Health Economics, Market Insights and Analytics, Marketing Communications, Sales & Marketing Academy, Digital Commercial Excellence, and Marketing Governance & Technology.

Currently we are redefining our MarCom department for Care Enablement, which means that you'll have the unique opportunity to shape your role and department. As the VP MarCom you will play a critical role in developing a long-term Marketing & Communication vision and strategy for CE. In this position you will manage an international team of 18 MarCom professionals. You will report into the Head of Commercial Business Services Care Enablement. This position can be based anywhere in Europe.

Tasks

Product and Therapy communication

  • Harmonize the CE diverse brand landscape (Xenios/NxStage). Lead the CE Product brand and product naming team and integration of acquired product brands.
  • Harmonize all product and therapy marketing communication for all global products and Business units to a coherent and strong and recognizable holistic portfolio message.
  • Develop strategic overarching value messages that supersede the individual products portfolio’s like “Green Dialysis”; “Partnership along the patient pathway”; “FME Partner of choice” etc.
  • Establish multi-channel integrated communication strategies and campaigns, tactics and asset creation – with transition towards digital engagement and promotion.
  • Ensure impactful launches of new products.
  • Lead and decide on major tradeshow and events, budget, main messages and implementation.
  • Lead agency consolidation and management.
  • Develop KPIs and monitor success of marcom campaigns.

External communication

  • Define and create media and press messages regarding CE in close alignment with Global Corporate Communications; align and support PR/media crisis management.
  • Provide content, media planning expertise, and practical day-to-day support to ensure global, regional, and local alignment.

Collaboration

  • Lead in definition of MarCom plans in close alignment with the business units.
  • Drive CE’s unitization of digital communication tools, channels & platforms with the right content; drive innovation & leverage best practices globally.
  • Closely collaborate with CoE Marketing Technology to ensure requirements on digital tools and channels are available and targeted distribution of messages to relevant audiences is performed.
  • Align with Corporate Communications on corporate brand definition and translation into global CE and product branding.
  • Closely collaborate with Corporate Communications as shared service center for execution and implementation of website, SEO and digital channel analytics.

Internal communications

  • Initiate effective CE business Employee communication, campaigns & initiatives together with key internal stakeholders and in collaboration with Global Corporate Communications.
  • Develop an annual internal (product) communication plan focused on various target audiences and aligned with business units and our commercial organization.
  • Define and validate internal CE communications content in collaboration with Global Corporate Communication.

  • University degree preferably in Marketing/Communication.
  • You are an experienced, inspiring and inclusive leader with familiarity of managing others in international matrix environments in Pharma or MedTech.
  • Proven track record of strategy development, strategic planning and delivery with regards to marketing communications, public relations and employee engagement.
  • Track record of effectively developing and managing global/regional initiatives, events, campaigns and projects in a complex environment.
  • High tech-savvy with a strong focus on digital communications, branding, storytelling and outreach to diverse/multi-cultural audiences.
  • Ideally experience in MarCom sales enabling environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experienced managing and leading as well as working with and managing third party service providers (MarCom) and market advisory bodies.
  • Agency experience would be a plus.
  • High language proficiency in English (spoken & written), other languages would be beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel globally.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
